Trisun 1

A sunset drawing I made on 16x24" canvas with Chartpak AD markers and touch-ups with Rembrandt Soft Pastels. I WAS going to just make a simple drawing then paint over it in acrylics, but I didn't realize how awesome these markers looked on gesso'd canvases, so I decided to leave it as-is. All in all it was maybe two or three hours of work.

It's based off of one of Albert Bierstadt's paintings of Yosemite Valley from 1868.

Now to paint this on a separate canvas.
